Terms of Service

Last updated: June 9, 2026

By using UnclaimedMoneyFinder.org (the "Site"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What We Do

We provide a free tool to search for unclaimed money and property reported to U.S. state governments, and we link you to the official state portals where you can file a claim. Searching our Site is free, and claiming your property through the official state portals is also free.

Not a Government Agency

UnclaimedMoneyFinder.org is an independent, privately operated website. We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state, the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA), MissingMoney.com, or any official unclaimed-property program. Official claims are always filed directly with the relevant state.

No Guarantee of Accuracy or Results

Unclaimed-property data comes from third-party and government sources and changes frequently. We do not guarantee that search results are complete, current, or accurate, that a listed record belongs to you, or that you will recover any funds. Always verify any record directly with the official state portal before relying on it.

Affiliate Disclosure

The Site contains affiliate links to third-party services (for example, background-check providers such as TruthFinder). If you click such a link and complete an action on the partner's site, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These partner services are optional and are never required to search for or claim your unclaimed property.

Public-Records Information and Removal

Certain pages display records sourced from publicly available state databases. If you wish to have a page that displays your information removed from the Site, please use our Data Removal / Opt-Out page.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site, including by scraping, automated data collection, attempting to disrupt the Site, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnclaimedMoneyFinder.org shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on its content.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
